NATION'S CAPITAL CHAPTER
Proudly Serving Airmen and the Air Force Since 1968
The Nation’s Capital Chapter of the Air Force Association received its charter on July 16, 1968. From its inception, senior aerospace industry executives have been the core of the chapter’s membership. In 47 years, its objectives, as stated in its original charter, have remained the same: "To provide an organization through which free men may unite to fulfill the responsibilities imposed by the impact of aerospace technology on modern society; to support armed strength adequate to maintain the security and peace of the United States and the Free World; to educate themselves and the public at large in the development of adequate aerospace power for the betterment of mankind; and to help develop friendly relations among free nations." The chapter fulfills these objectives through an annual series of programs and outreach activities with a special emphasis on the next generation of aerospace leaders.
