AFA PITSENBARGER AWARD
The award provides a one-time grant of $500 to top USAF enlisted personnel graduating from the CCAF. The award is named in honor of Airman First Class William Pitsenbarger who received (posthumously) the Medal oof Honor for conspicuous gallantry aand intrpidity at risk of life above and beyond the call of duty during combat action in Cam My, Vietnam, April 1966.
2010 AFA Pitsenbarger Award
On June 8, 2010 the Nation’s Capital Chapter presented AFA Pitsenbarger Awards to SrA Artesia Spears and SSgt Alicia Tamura during the graduation ceremony of the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) at Bolling AFB.
