DISTINGUISHED AMERICAN AWARD
This award was created by the Nation's Capital Chapter of the Air Force Association in recognitiion of truly distinguished Americans whose leadership in national affairs has been instrumental in protecting the values and traditions of the United States. The selection is made annually by the officers and board of the Nation's Capital Chapter. It is an award which reflects the deep gratitude of the Nation. The accomplishments of these honorees in the area of national defense exemplify those principles which best merit them being named recipient of the Distinguished American Award.
