Harvey Dahljelm
Mr. Harvey Dahljelm is a consultant with DynCorp International.
He retired from ITT in 2011 where he was Director, International Programs and Deputy to the Vice-President for International Marketing and Business Development, at ITT, Defense Headquarters (NYSE: ITT). He was appointed to his position in July 2006. In this position, he was responsible for maintaining relations and representing ITT, Defense Headquarters at the senior levels of foreign and U.S. Government Departments and Agencies, Councils, and the Congress.
Prior to joining ITT as Director, Air Force and Space Programs in 1999, Mr. Dahljelm was a consultant for the Institute for Defense Analyses, and a senior project engineer for the Aerospace Corporation. In those Federally Funded Research Center positions, he was responsible for the analysis and development of Department of Defense and National Reconnaissance Office programs worth roughly $3 billion.
Before entering the private sector, Mr. Dahljelm was a career Air Force Officer for 30 years with numerous command and staff assignments throughout the world. He spent a total of 12 years on the Air Staff in the Pentagon working joint strategic issues; serving on the Office of the Secretary of Defense Acquisition & Technology and Program Analysis & Evaluation staffs; and for four years, he was the Military Assistant to the Air Force Chief Scientist. He retired as a Colonel in 1998 with almost 3,300 flying hours (+750 combat hours).
Mr. Dahljelm holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology in Dayton, Ohio. He was the national Vice-chairman of the Precision Strike Association and a director of the Association of Old Crows, Air Force Association, Aerospace Industries Association, Navy League, and the National Defense Industrial Association.
