     Bruce Vanskiver
 
Bruce VanSkiver joined Alenia North America as the Director, Air Mobility Programs.  In this role, he is directly responsible for strategic planning and business development execution of Alenia North America’s air mobility portfolio serving the Department of Defense and Foreign Military Sales programs.  Mr. VanSkiver retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2010 after 26 years of active duty service.
 
While serving with the Air Force, Mr. VanSkiver culminated his career as Chief of the Mobility Division on the Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition) staff responsible for modernizing the service’s $30 billion strategic airlift, air refueling and Very Important Person (VIP) aircraft fleets, including Air Force One.  While in this position, he was also appointed as the United States representative to the 12-nation Strategic Airlift Capability C-17 Board of Directors in Budapest, Hungary.
 
A command pilot, Mr. VanSkiver has held operational commands at the Group and Squadron levels.  He most recently served as a Vice Wing Commander in the United Arab Emirates overseeing combat operations of the largest air refueling and high-altitude Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) wing in US Central Command.  Mr. VanSkiver has also been assigned to senior Pentagon and major command positions focused on operational training, mobility requirements validation, budgeting and Congressional liaison.  He is a veteran of combat operations in Somalia, Iraq and Afghanistan.
 
Mr. VanSkiver is a native of Seattle, Washington.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Washington State University, with Masters Degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base.  He has flown over 4,500 hours with military and FAA commercial/instrument ratings in both fixed and rotary wing aircraft.  His decorations and awards include Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Air Medal, Aerial Achievement Medal (with 3 oak leaf clusters), Meritorious Unit Award with Valor, Meritorious Service Medal (with five oak leaf clusters), Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, and various service and campaign awards.
 
His professional affiliations include the Air Force Association, Airlift/Tanker Association, Air Commando Association, Army Aviation Association of America and the Boy Scouts of America.
