     Stephen Gress
 
Steve Gress joined Terma North America, Inc. (TNA) in September 2010.  As Vice President of Business Development, Steve Gress leads the development, coordination and the integration of all business growth strategies and program advocacy initiatives for TNA.  Gress is accountable to the CEO and works closely with the CFO to achieve established financial goals as a member of the TNA Executive Management Team. In addition to his strong operational background, he brings to the Team well established relationships with many industry partners and very detailed knowledge of the Department of Defense customers and the Congressional budget process.
 
Prior to joining TNA, Gress had nearly 14 years of experience with the Boeing Company where he held multiple senior executive positions. These positions included Vice President of Strategy for Government Relations and Vice President, Business Development Air Force (AF) Systems, for Integrated Defense Systems.  In these roles, he led the senior executive interface with the AF customer on more than 50 programs to achieve more than $10 Billion in annual revenue and he also played a key role in developing advocacy strategy for the Air Force Tanker competition.  From 2001 to 2004 he was a member of the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Program Management Team. In 2003, he was promoted to Director of GMD Staff Operations and assumed responsibility for all program staff activities including executive support, scheduling, administration processes, information technology, facilities, and security.
 
Prior to his retirement from the Air Force in 1997, Gress was Division Chief for the Air Force Legislative Liaison Weapons Division in the Pentagon and directed interface with the Senate and House Armed Services Committees. He also held other Pentagon leadership positions in advanced fighter development for the F-22, air-to-air weapons development including AMRAAM and AIM9-X, and Special Programs, directing advanced technology development in radar and infrared sensors.  He is a decorated Desert Storm combat veteran and has over 2400 hours of total flying time including more than 1000 hours as a command pilot of the F-15A/B/C/D and 1000 hours as an instructor pilot in the T-38 and T-41.
 
Gress holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master of Science in Operations Research from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology.  Gress is also a graduate of the Air War College and a distinguished graduate of the Air Command and Staff College.
 
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Gress resides in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife, Marietta. He has two grown children. He is a board member of an Air Force Association local chapter and enjoys golf.
